I had some doubts this Christmas. Would it still be filled with joy?
Would I still be filled with wonder at Bethlehem's baby boy?
Would the grief and pain o'ercome me as I pondered Anna's loss?
Could my faith support my journey or despair become the cost?
But as Christmas neared, the message of a Savior born to me
Broke through the gloom and sadness as God's message made me see
That there was no loss for Anna – she was safe on heaven's shore.
While I'll miss her dance and singing, and oh, so much much more.
She's home now with her Shepherd, while here on earth we pray
For the time our Savior calls us and then. - “Oh, happy day!”
We'll sing and dance with Anna and praise God's holy name.
Reunited by the holy child who on this Christmas came.
